• 42CrMo4: used for wheel hubs and other components subject to wear;
• 39NiCrMo3: used for flywheels, suspension and steering elements, and other miscellaneous components;
• C70: used for clutch discs and diaphragm springs

• 18NiCrMo5: used for gears designed for light duty use;
• 16NiCrMo12: used for gears designed for heavy duty use;

• 10NiCrMo13 (9310VAR Recast): used for gears designed for very heavy use;
